ABSTRACT
This chapter will examine the role of blood level monitoring in the prescription of psychotropic drugs. It will outline: when blood level monitoring helps; instructions to patients; frequency of blood level monitoring; the use of clinical judgment; when blood levels do not help; and necessary documentation.
