Introduction

This section introduces the book by discussing a brief background on the topic under discussion. It also sheds light on the research problem statement and question(s), which are directly and indirectly related to the role of Jirga in peace and conflict resolution in Pakistan’s former-FATA region. This section also briefly discusses the research design of the book, including the methods and analytical framework used for data analysis. In its final part, the introduction explains the chapter outline, along with briefly discussing the seven chapters that make up this book.
