ABSTRACT

Working with a quantum awareness propels one to new tools that become available as a way to navigate movement. Images can be the missing piece to awareness. Neuroscientist Antonio Damasio states humans think in images, so visualizing movement can be of great help to organize and pattern the moving body. The point is that to the body sensory refinement is more important to survival and adaptation than motor organization. Anticipatory attention facilitates a readiness potential that fires in the pre-motor/supplemental cortex in the brain, which then activates the motor cortex, and the result is movement. The experience suggests an anticipatory awareness where stimulus and response can almost change places such that the response occurs before the stimulus because one is so aware. Repetition of a movement at this state of quantum awareness then occurs with difference, a difference that is alive where refining and fine tuning become the goal.
