ABSTRACT
Chapter 6 introduces the construction of truth in the human sciences, and explains how doctrine and theological development correlate with an interdisciplinary quest for truth. The chapter also evaluates interdisciplinary criteria for determining truth claims for the contemporary readership after assessing interdisciplinarity as a method for theology against the backdrop of both Protestant and Catholic historic resistance to drawing from other fields of learning for theology.
