ABSTRACT
In order for students to truly learn what a word means, they must become adept at taking definitions and making them their own. Using the rule of three words or less, students can be responsible for using their own brain power to shrink dictionary and glossary definitions into something they can remember. Build upon this premise by building up background knowledge and crowdsourcing definitions for long lists, all students can become masters of new words.
