ABSTRACT

Change management must develop ways to overcome the consequences of fragmentation of foci, fragmentation of scope, and fragmentation in time. Since today’s systems and organisations are intractable or even entangled, the assumptions on which change management is based must be revised to acknowledge this. The chapter will introduce the revised concepts and the practical steps that are needed. While there are no fully operational solutions ready off the shelf, we do know where to start and what we need to find out.
