ABSTRACT

In this final chapter of the book, the authors summarize the eight instructional methods described in the eight chapters of the book. A focus is placed on anticipated learning goals, reminding the reader to select strategies based on what students should be able to do as a result of participation in the course. Moreover, we acknowledge that the instructional method and intentionally designed educational activities are certainly not the only approaches that exist. The purpose of this book is to serve as a guide for instructors to use and adapt as needed. Closing out this final chapter is a guide to writing a “DIY” intentionally designed educational activity.
