ABSTRACT

This chapter analyzes the 2004 Minority Rights & Relations/Black-White Social Audit poll conducted by the Gallup Organization. This remains the only national poll that has been devoted to a significant exploration of public opinion on consumer racial profiling. In addition, the chapter examines public opinion data on consumer racial profiling from the 2009 and 2012 Penn State University polls. These polls provided additional nuances on Pennsylvanians’ opinions on consumer racial profiling.
