ABSTRACT
Easttown is a small township located in Southeast Pennsylvania outside of Philadelphia, a short six-minute drive from where series creator and show-runner Brad Ingelsby grew up. In Easttown, the characters are working-class, blue-collar people whose lives are marred by the opioid epidemic, poverty, abuse, and crime. Shondaland Productions are well known for multiracial casting, and Netflix’s breakout hit Bridgerton follows suit. The ensemble is populated by privileged, entitled, wealthy, beachfront property-owning moms – with the exception of new-to-town single mom Jane Chapman, and Bonnie Carlson, young newlywed to Nathan Carlson. Money Heist chiefly takes place inside of the Spanish Mint in Madrid, Spain. A protagonist may find himself living out another person’s dream, or he may enter a drug-induced state that actually makes better sense than the real world, or he may cross into a different universe completely.
