ABSTRACT
The aim of this chapter is to examine Spanish learners’ L2 English intonation and prosodic characteristics from the perspective of second language acquisition and interlanguage. This chapter focuses on the speech function of giving information and serves to analyze, discuss, and interpret the quantitative and qualitative results obtained from the contrastive interlanguage corpus analysis of Spanish L2 learners and English L1 intonation.
