ABSTRACT
Chapter 3, People-Centred Urbanism: Origins and Developments, is in three sections. The first analyses the term ‘humanization’, showing how it is a critique of an architectural profession obsessed with form. The second part investigates successful urban projects around the world that place people front and centre. The third focuses on Riyadh and its humanization initiative and what has been achieved.
