ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses Integrated Quality, Food Safety and Environmental (IQFSE) management system and its processes. QA Manager, Environment Manager and Food Safety Manager should: identify IQFSE management system requirements and the processes required and prepare the necessary documents. The chapter includes needs and expectations of interested parties, risks and opportunities, environmental aspects and impacts, legal requirements, and strategic planning. With the information in the input panel key, processes are identified by the Management Team using one or more of these methods: brainstorming, interviewing stakeholders, external consultant, and adopt the generic model to customise it to the organisation. Outsourced processes are those assigned to an external agency. They are controlled via contract negotiation, plant visits, inspection at premises and audits.
