The additional responsibilities of the purchasing manager are to communicate with suppliers and to approve and remove suppliers from the ASL when necessary. The additional responsibilities of the environment manager is to verify that the supplier has the necessary environmental permits and is managing waste according to regulatory requirements and to evaluate material safety data sheets and communicate any hazard information to the Management Team. Suppliers are categorised as non-critical if one or more of these conditions apply: no negative impact on product quality, safety or customer requirements, infrequent purchases, and low cost.
