ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses resources, usage and security of the company. It describes the role of manager information systems, Information Technology (IT) staff, and users. The responsibility of the manager information systems is to purchase hardware and software necessary for business activities; manage, secure and control access to ABCCL’s IT resources including electronic files and data; and develop security awareness among all employees, which includes descriptions of security breaches intended to overcome programme security management. The responsibility also includes defining the policy for usage of resources, training the users and providing support, and ensuring the efficient use of resources. Access to and usage of ABCCL’s IT resources is made available to employees at the discretion of the department head and only for the purpose of conducting business activities.
