ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses virus protection for system utilized in company. It describers the use of Information Technology (IT) staff and employees. The responsibility of the IT staff is: to install or implement well-tested virus protection software on all ABCCL servers, computers, main ABCCL firewall and email gateways. All incoming email is scanned for viruses, to create awareness among employees of the dangers of viruses and how they can help prevent virus contamination, and to apply security patches and updates to servers and computers, as necessary, to prevent security breaches and potential virus intrusion. IT Manager should select appropriate virus protection software. This software shall be capable of daily updating automatically to protect against most current viruses, configuring for real-time protection and cleaning and notifying, if a virus is detected.
