ABSTRACT

Principles are fundamental issues in distinguishing one process or mechanism from another. There are many opinions about what lean principles are. Lean principle classification is generally accepted as process oriented. It is a group of principles introduced by Womack and Jones. These principles are cyclical in the sense that they will return to the beginning after final part has been reached. Further, lean emphasizes on the process. In fact, F. Damrath observes that lean principles have their own strength because it is a series of steps to instill lean thinking. Lean principles are process-oriented, meaning to sort out the principles based on the process of lean implementation. This method is clearer and more structured.
