ABSTRACT

Jesse Abrams is Assistant Professor of Natural Resource Policy and Sustainability at the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources and Savannah River Ecology Laboratory, University of Georgia. He holds PhD and MS degrees in Forest Resources from Oregon State University and a BA in Environmental Studies from New College of Florida. His research and teaching focus on the varied policy and governance influences on forests across ownership categories. His academic and professional experiences include time spent studying, managing, and enjoying forests in places as varied as south Florida, the Missouri Ozarks, Northern Arizona, New Mexico, the Massachusetts Islands, the western Cascades, and Wallowa County, Oregon. He has also taught and conducted research in Mexico, Ecuador, Brazil, and Argentina. For these opportunities and others, he is eternally grateful.
