ABSTRACT

In this chapter, we detail our interpretivist methodological approach to the investigation of 12 students' lived experiences of online postgraduate education. We present the narrative methodology, which allowed us to co-construct with the students their narratives using several ‘meaningful episodes’ experienced by them. We introduce the Listening Guide, which we used to analyse the narratives in depth and through a range of analytical lenses relevant to the three pillars of openness, distance, and interaction.
