ABSTRACT
The challenges facing the world are systemic. Addressing these challenges requires systems thinking and a new mindset due to the understanding of reality as put forward by the new sciences. This chapter explains the evolution of systems thinking, the new systemic leadership theories based on systems thinking, and how these theories may apply in practice.
