ABSTRACT
The elements of what makes a transformational leader are explored. In essence, transformational leaders supposedly take everyone to higher ground, determined mostly by the leader. Transactional leadership, by contrast, focuses on the quid pro quo between leaders and followers.
Other leadership styles such as charismatic leadership, authentic leadership, and servant leadership are also discussed, as they have some common attributes ascribed to transformational leaders.
