ABSTRACT

There is a growing debate whether women are better leaders than men. Performance by women during the pandemic seems to indicate that women know how to handle a crisis better than many men do. This chapter explores this debate, arguing that substituting female stereotypes for male stereotypes as being more efficacious leaders is an error. The balance of both men and women are needed. Theories about women’s leadership strengths and limitations are discussed and the issues of diversity and inclusion broadly covered.
