ABSTRACT
This chapter claims that leaders need a capacity for cognitive complexity. Leaders’ consciousness must be at a higher level than the escalating complexity of the environment. They need an inner operating system that can handle uncertainty, confusion, and doubt and through which they can still think clearly and make sound decisions. Here, we stress again the importance of systemic thinking and many other critical aspects of decision-making.
