ABSTRACT

In order to fashion a functional firearm receiver, the builder must engage in a series of processes through which the raw material is transformed into the final product. Once the receiver is complete, it is ready to have the balance of firearm parts joined to it, creating a generally recognizable, operable firearm. Modern technology has provided home builders with choices that were previously unavailable. Homemade receivers rely on established firearm patterns that offer large followings, ensuring access to factory and aftermarket parts to complete the firearm.
