ABSTRACT
Chapter 2 examines the history of entrepreneurship in India from medieval times until the present day including its entrepreneurial ecosystem, the entrepreneurship development initiatives introduced by different governments, entrepreneurial communities in different time periods, and the key factors which impacted the growth of businesses and entrepreneurship in those periods.
