ABSTRACT

This chapter teaches the actor simple techniques to give the editor multiple cutting options at the end of the scene to improve their performance. It outlines how to develop this skill. It reinforces the fact that all technical aspects must be connected to the given circumstances of the scene. It dissects how to strengthen the actor’s final moment and create cutting points for the editor. It stresses the importance of acting without dialogue and how to incorporate a prop to build a dynamic ending of the scene. There are an original sample scene and three exercises with analysis.
