ABSTRACT

Multicultural humanistic psychology is paradigm that promotes the culturally relative self-actualization processes of diverse children, where the multicultural archetypes are a global resource for generating holistic well-being. This chapter explores what it is to fuse the multicultural and humanistic psychology paradigms into a praxis, where the author explores an after-school program for children called Kidz n’ Coaches. This chapter explains how one sets up a ‘nondirective’ program that can unlock human potentials in cultural diversity through group activities. The key factors of making a multicultural humanistic psychology praxis is through growth-promoting relationships. The author explores the foundational elements to cultivate the conditions in which they can flourish.
