ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the larger goal of integrating the initiative’s changes into organizational structures to increase productivity, customer experience, and competitiveness. It also discusses the rapid improvement events, projects, and other improvement work integrate across an organization for sustainability. Effective organizational change transforms how work is done by showing there are better ways to do it. The chapter further discusses the larger goal of integrating the initiative's changes into organizational structures to increase productivity, customer experience, and competitiveness. Sustaining improvements is critical for building a critical mass for organizational change. Time is a competitive advantage, and rapid improvement is a proven strategy for organizational change. Higher productivity is gained when the correct tools and methods are used to execute projects and also, when leadership engages to promote the beneficial work and to reinforce behaviors that promote the desired behaviors, i.e., organizational change.
