This final chapter raises some questions prompted by the investigation in the rest of the book rather than offering any firm conclusions. It speculates why Goleniewski might have declared that he was Tsarevich Alexei Nikolaevich of Russia. Was this a sign of mental breakdown or was there a more complex and secretive political agenda at work?
