ABSTRACT
2010 was the decade of the big data breach. Data breaches over the past decade have had a huge impact on businesses. We will be highlighting cyber events that changed how companies were forced to look at cybersecurity and treat cyber with the business respect it deserves at the board level, from a regulatory point of view, in terms of mergers and acquisitions, and from a nation-state outlook. These include Yahoo, Equifax, Target, British Airways, and Maersk.
