ABSTRACT

Changes and developments in cybersecurity are influenced by technologies, regulations, and Wall Street. Cybersecurity's central role in protecting our privacy, financial information, geopolitical freedoms, and physical safety is more obvious than ever during 2020. The Corona Virus has displaced on-premise security needs with work from home (WFH) requirements. U.S. elections have been influenced by data that has been manipulated by old cold war foes. Regulations are bearing down on companies to make privacy sacrosanct. Technology innovation is hurling us forward at the speed of light into unknown areas with little to no cybersecurity baked into them. Companies are spending more and more on layered cybersecurity tools. The growth rate in tools and resources needed is unprecedented compared to other areas of the business.
