ABSTRACT

Being part of a network of individuals with similar norms, principles, and values has a significant impact on personal and business behavior; accordingly, social networks are characterized by a strong sense of identity among members, social support, and the presence of shared frameworks for the interpretation of reality. Shared values foster the exchange of ideas, identification of opportunities, and the combination of resources and knowledge from a large and heterogeneous pool of actors. The present chapter examines the results obtained from the analysis of data collected in a cultural network of entrepreneurs and it will further explore the benefits and shortcomings of such network configuration.
