ABSTRACT
This chapter presents the last case study, that of Logan, who became a science student at a prestigious university. Logan presents a ‘happy-go-lucky’ subjectivity, appearing largely unfazed by the highly competitive university environment. However, this wavered a bit as he progressed in his course as he struggled to manage the identity negotiations that are involved with becoming a university student, his work in the service sector and the demands of academic study.
