ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses employees. It looks at an organization’s responsibility to its staff, and how being a good employer and having a happy workforce benefits the company, including its bottom line. The chapter encourages organizations to improve their work environments. It looks at diversity and gender, including with regard to recruitment. Work–life balance and retraining are discussed, and the chapter concludes by exploring how the workplace is transforming.
