This chapter examines types of individuals within the church who are more vulnerable to being victimized by a sexual predator. Characteristics of victims as well as warning signs that may be present in a victim are discussed. Warning signs can assist leaders in identifying those persons who are being sexually exploited and abused within the church. In addition, the consequences of this type of victimization, including physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual trauma, are addressed as well as the role of the church in assisting the abused.
