ABSTRACT
This chapter examines issues dealing with known sex offenders attending church. Balancing mercy and even potential forgiveness with safety and security needs are covered, as well as understanding and examining a given sex offender’s past offenses. Necessary precautions that should be taken and the possible impact of a sex offender attending a particular church, including effects on victims and congregate members, are addressed.
