As John Worthington says (No. 95), it needs some Oedipus to discover the identities of the contributors of the commendatory verses to the Faerie Queene. Carpenter's Reference Guide, p. 87, suggests in explanation of H.B. the following: Henry Bosvill, Sir Henry Brouncker, Henry Bedingfield, Sir Henry Bagnall, Hugh Beeston, Henry Boughton, and Sir Henry Bromly.
