ABSTRACT
Sir Walter Ralegh (1552?-1618), probably educated at Oriel College, met Spenser either through Sidney or in Ireland. See Walter Oakeshott's The Queen and the Poet (i960) for an account of their relations. Dr Oakeshott is in possession of Ralegh's annotated copy of the 1609 Folio, which will be described in a forthcoming article in the Library.
