ABSTRACT

Grandparents today are younger and healthier and live longer than ever before. They are also far better off financially. Grandparents are less likely to be financially dependent on their children for support. In fact, it is more common than ever for grandparents, both those who are still working and those who have retired, to provide financial assistance to the younger generations rather than the other way around. The better we know our grandchildren and the more aware we are of their daily lives, the easier it will be for us to find just the right gift to give them. As grandchildren get older, their musical taste will probably begin to diverge from a great deal.
