ABSTRACT

The best way to prepare for writing tests is to study papers written on the types of topics assigned. Studying papers will provide you with a storehouse of ideas to use on any writing test. For example, a car accident, a car theft, and a frequently robbed 7-11 store are described in one of the papers in this chapter. The paper concerns the truth of the saying “Lightning never strikes in the same place twice.” But you could use the car theft or accident description in writing a paper for a test with different topics such as “Discuss Crime in Urban Areas” or “Describe Reasons for Having Auto Insurance.” Moreover, studying papers will show you patterns for organizing ideas that you can use with any topic.
