ABSTRACT
Chapter 20 introduces persuasive papers: papers which argue for an opinion. As you learned, the secret to being persuasive is presenting evidence supporting your opinion. Do not just repeat your view over and over in different words. Merely restating your opinion will not convince your readers but will only bore and irritate them. They want facts, reasons, and evidence.
