ABSTRACT
Sometimes weak writers sprinkle punctuation marks throughout their writing wherever they feel they might pause in reading the material. This practice can lead to nonstandard usage of punctuation marks which is confusing to readers accustomed to standard usage. Pausing to breathe does not mean to automatically stick a period between two words.
