ABSTRACT

The focus of this chapter is on the response to the question I put to executive team subject matter experts about effective top-team actions. The first IO cases are fairly detailed in describing how executive teams have responded to crisis situations. The fact that they are in a crisis is their common feature. I found it very interesting from a researcher perspective that when asked to provide an example of when an executive team was particularly effective, many respondents selected a crisis to describe. Anyway, here are their stories. After each one, I summarize what I believe made the team most effective.
