ABSTRACT

Much of the talk in the past few years has been of an expanded market with longer trading hours. The number of stocks available for trading is constantly increasing, with new stock being issued or stock splits occurring. New companies are going pubic with initial pubic offerings every day. People are squeezing more and more activities into shorter periods of time. Employers demand more work. Families require more time, even recreation can consume larger amounts of time. Many feel as if their lives are stuck in a kind of fast-forward mode. Brokerage firms base their very survival on the development and marketing of new types of investment products. Products which make investing easier, safer, and faster are condensing the market every day. Stock options have been available for many years and have about the same impact now as they always have had on the stock market.
