ABSTRACT
Book IV covers the period from 14 March to 16 October 1633, with three interruptions; it comprises thirty-five entries, the first twelve of which are based on notes made by Yan Zanhua in Zhangzhou. Entries 13–35 have been made by Li Jiubiao in Fuzhou and Haikou. Four other Christian scholars have acted as editors and correctors: Lin Eryuan from Anxi (Quanzhou prefecture); Chen Kesheng from Minxian (Fuzhou prefecture); and Lin Yijun and Li Jiugong (Jiubiao’s younger brother), both from Fuqing.
