ABSTRACT
Let us move back now to the world of direct experience, as revealed by a young girl whose story closes this section of the book. She had an unusual ability to create image after image that released hidden emotions and activated healing energy. Although her life was caught up in the mesh of the wider social system, with all its complexities, she moved in freedom in this therapy session. She has the power to draw us back swiftly to the expanses of metaphor-charged play. We need to re-enter that space.
