ABSTRACT

It’s inevitable that an organization run by a good leader will have good morale. Whether leadership ability is inborn or learned is a question that has interested management researchers for more than a century. There’s plenty of evidence to support both theories. Leadership has been described as an art and as difficult to explain as why Picasso expressed himself as he did. The signs of good leadership appear among the followers. Employees who have reached their potential and are looking for new challenges are often influenced by a strong leader. Hiatt strives for an environment where employees look forward to coming to work and doing their best. Besides being secretaries, sales clerks, mechanics, waitresses, accountants, machine operators, engineers, and nurses, employees are parents, homemakers, caretakers, patients, and leaders in their communities.
