Cindi Eulrich believes ISO 14001 will make a better world for her grandchildren’s grandchildren. Working in the machine department at Honda Transmission Manufacturing of America (HTM) in Russells Point, Ohio, Eulrich has embraced the international environmental management system (EMS): “It makes you feel better knowing that your grandkids and their grandkids are going to have a clean environment and safe world to live in.” 1 And she’s not alone. Lee A. Sanders, HTM environmental coordinator, said that one of the biggest benefits of ISO 14001 is the morale boost for the 550 employees that has transformed the plant — the first Honda site in North America to earn an ISO 14001 certificate. 2
