ABSTRACT

One of the biggest draws of Angell in the twenty-first century is the breadth and quality of the hospital’s specialty services, which prompt referrals from veterinarians throughout New England and beyond. In 2007, Angell became one of a small group of veterinary schools and practices to offer pain medicine services. Following the example set by human medical practices, the specialty recognized the importance of assessing and treating animal pain with just as sophisticated means.
