ABSTRACT

When the MSPCA and Angell moved into the building in 1976, many vestiges of seminary life were still evident, including dorm rooms and kitchens. There is also a luminous stained glass window of Francis of Assisi, adoring animals at his feet, that presides beneficently over Angell as the centerpiece of the hospital’s research library. Originally part of the old building, the window was restored through donor contributions and set in its current wooden framework.
