ABSTRACT
Raising the Devil has been thought by some to be a Branch of Witchcraft rather than Magick; and then it should not be mention’d in this Place; but the Point is not fully decided. It seems both the Worthy Professions have pretended to it, and perhaps both have attain’d to practise it, and so it may be reckon’d among the Occult Sciences, in common to the Practitioners of 270both Kinds, and then may be properly treated of in which part of our Undertaking we please.
